1873–1904 Schlesinger Mohel List

I.M. Schlesinger was the mohel for the B’nai Israel Congregation in Columbus from 1873-1904 (with a 2 year leave 1878-1880 when he lived in Virginia). In this position he would travel throughout central Ohio performing the brit (circumcision) ceremony. Of the 223 babies named in this volume, all except 26 were from this region. Included are the infants’ name, the father’s name, date and location of brit and occasionally a comment. The Hebrew names are currently being transliterated and will be available.
