New Digitization Project
CJHS is proud to announce the start of a new project to digitize the Congregation Tifereth Israel Collection which we have held since 2021. The congregation formed in 1901 and in 1913 they purchased their first building. Records that date from the purchase of the building to the present make up the bulk of the collection. These will be scanned and objects will be photographed prior to cataloguing. The results will be available for the public to view on our website.
This is a five-year project funded through the Betty & Charles Talis Archives Fund of the Tifereth Israel Foundation. Betty was dedicated to the preservation of central Ohio Jewish history and of the congregation in particular.
Our thanks to Arnie Good, president of the Tifereth Israel Foundation Board, for his efforts on behalf of this project.
